2022, Banfield: Kennel Tracker

Problem to solve: The provider team wants to track pets in the kennels to make sure they have the space to accommodate all appointments on a certain day.

Project Goal: To get the project funded by company leadership

What I did: I redesigned the kennel tracker system for better usability and support team leader roles.

Outcome: Stakeholders received the project well and socialize the project with company leadership to get the budget for the production phase.

The first thing I’d advocate doing is to start evaluating the design with real users before going into further detail in the design.

My Takeaways

Business value

The company needs resources to fund a project. The company also survives by having revenue. Therefore, the project needs to drive KPIs to get funding.
